Law School Commencement Ceremony Details
- When: Saturday, May 14, 2011
- Time: 2:00 promptly (earlier time)
- Arrival for Graduates: Please arrive no later than 1:15 to check in and prepare for processional
- Location: Indiana Convention Center- Sagamore Ballroom, 100 S. Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
The Indiana Convention Center is located in the southwest quadrant of downtown at 100 South Capitol Avenue bordered by Maryland Street on the north, Capitol Avenue on the east, West Street on the west and South Street on the south. Academic Regalia - Order and Pick Up Information

Academic apparel is available for rent and may be ordered by visiting the appropriate link on the Commencement website: www.alumni.iupui.edu\commencement
The deadline to submit your cap and gown order (and be eligible for shipment to your home) is March 25. The final deadline is April 8.
Below are links for ordering academic apparel for the 2010 IUPUI Commencement ceremony and for the individual recognition ceremonies. Academic apparel is ordered through the IUPUI Office of Alumni Relations. There is no charge to faculty for cap and gown rental orders received by Friday, March 25. There is, however, a charge for academic hoods. Payment for hood rental must accompany the order form. Cap and Gown orders cannot be invoiced this year – they must be paid by Credit card, check or money order.
The deadline to order your apparel is April 8.
Late Fee
All orders received in the Office of Alumni Relations after Friday, March 25, will be subject to a $15.00 late fee. This applies to both cap and gown and/or hood orders.
Purchase Option
Academic apparel is available for purchase through Herff Jones. Please allow a minimum of seven weeks for delivery. Orders may be placed through Herff Jones representative

Commencement Apparel Distribution
Apparel for use at the IUPUI Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, will be distributed in Room 405 of the IUPUI Campus Center on Tuesday, May 10, and Wednesday, May 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Request apparel
The deadline to order your cap and gown online is March 25. If you miss this deadline, caps, gowns, and hoods will be available to rent at cap and gown distribution on May 10 and 11 at the IUPUI Campus Center in room 405, from 9 am to 7 pm both days.
If you order your apparel, you should receive a confirmation email. IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL, YOU DID NOT COMPLETE YOUR ORDER.
Academic apparel order forms have been sent by campus mail to all faculty and campus administrators from a list provided by the IUPUI Faculty Records office. If you did not receive the mailing, you may wish to check with that office (274-4627).
Orders may also be placed online. Online orders requiring payment must be charged to a credit card. There is no cap and gown rental fee for a faculty member choosing to participate in Commencement activities if the apparel order is received by the IUPUI Office of Alumni Relations no later than Friday, March 25. Hood rental is the responsibility of the faculty member. Associated costs are listed on the order form. After March 25, a $15.00 late fee will be added to all faculty orders, whether or not a hood is included.

Graduate Reception (with Alumni)
There are two receptions for graduates. Both will be at the law school.
- Reception sponsored by Alumni Association (Friday, May 13, 2011). Please return your RSVP card to the alumni association if you plan to attend.
- Reception hosted by the law school (Saturday, May 14, immediately following commencement). This reception is open to all grads and guests. There will be refreshments and photo opportunities. Grads may return academic regalia at the law school.
