Joint Center for Asian Law Studies
The Joint Center for Asian Law Studies was founded in June, 2010 as a collaboration between Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis and Renmin University of China School of Law in Beijing.
The Joint Center’s Mission is to utilize scholarly inquiry and open dialogue to promote mutual understanding and goodwill between the countries of East Asia and the United States, specifically with regard to the content and development of laws and the role of law in society. To these ends, the partners in the Joint Center will encourage the following:
- collaborative scholarship
- jointly sponsored conferences
- exchanges of faculty and students

Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis: Located in the heart of Indiana’s capital city, the law school has over 1,000 students and has been educating leaders in law, business, government and the non-profit sector for over 100 years.

Renmin University of China School of Law: RUC Law School is the first regular higher-level legal educational institution created after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and has since been hailed as the "cradle" of China's most outstanding jurists.

Professor Wilson Leads International Forum for Law Students: Professor Tom Wilson led law students from IU and nine other schools in the 2nd International Forum for Law Students, held on June 5, 2011, at the Renmin University of China Law School, in Beijing. Professor Wilson Invited to Speak at the National Judges College of the PRC: Professor Tom Wilson was an invited speaker at the International Forum on Judicial Training on June 8 & 9, 2011, in Beijing.
