Joint Center for Asian Law Studies
The Joint Center for Asian Law Studies was founded in June, 2010 as a collaboration between the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and Renmin University of China School of Law in Beijing.
The Joint Center’s Mission is to utilize scholarly inquiry and open dialogue to promote mutual understanding and goodwill between the countries of East Asia and the United States, specifically with regard to the content and development of laws and the role of law in society. To these ends, the partners in the Joint Center will encourage the following:
- collaborative scholarship
- jointly sponsored conferences
- exchanges of faculty and students

Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law: Located in the heart of Indiana’s capital city, the law school has over 1,000 students and has been educating leaders in law, business, government and the non-profit sector for over 100 years.

Renmin University of China School of Law: RUC Law School is the first regular higher-level legal educational institution created after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and has since been hailed as the "cradle" of China's most outstanding jurists.
