Bio
Miriam Murphy supervises the day to day operations of the library. She teaches in the legal research course for both the first-year law students and the LLM students. She also teaches courses in the School for Library and Information Science.
She currently serves as President of the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries and Chair of the Middle Managers Division of the Indiana Library Federation. She is active in numerous professional committees at the national and local levels. She chaired the Legal Information Gateway Task Force, directing the creation of the Legal Information Gateway, an informational brochure and web page for pro-se patrons and librarians who provide legal reference service. Publications include a book on moving an academic law library, a chapter in a bar association practitioner’s guide on creating a law firm library, and guest editing an issue of Indiana Libraries, as well as several research guides.
Prior to her appointment to the law library faculty she spent several years as Head of Public Services at the Professional Center Library, Wake Forest University School of Law. She has also held library positions at the Baker & Daniels law firm and Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University.
