Professor Peter Henning will be a Visiting Professor of Law at Indiana University-Indianapolis School of Law in the Fall 2009 term.  He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1985, where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor on the Georgetown Law Journal . He clerked for Chief Judge Murray M. Schwartz of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, was a Senior Attorney in the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission from 1987 to 1991, and a Trial Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice from 1991 to 1994.

Professor Henning joined the Wayne State University Law School faculty in 1994. He teaches courses in Corporations, White Collar Crime, Professional Responsibility, Criminal Law and Procedure, and Securities Litigation. Professor Henning received the Wayne State University President = s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1998. His scholarship focuses primarily in the fields of white collar crime, constitutional criminal procedure, and attorney ethics, and he has published articles in a number of leading journals, including the Boston College Law Review, Tennessee Law Review, Washington University Law Quarterly, American University Law Review, and University of Cincinnati Law Review. He is a co-author of three casebooks: White Collar Crime: Law and Practice (Thomson West 3rd ed. 2009) (with Israel, Podgor & Borman); Criminal Law: Concepts and Practice (2d ed. Carolina 2008) (with Podgor, Taslitz, and Garcia); Global Issues in Criminal Law (Thomson West 2007) (with Carter and Blakesley). Professor Henning is one of the co-authors of the Wright & Miller Federal Practice & Procedure: Criminal treatise, and a co-author of Mastering Criminal Law (Carolina 2008) (with Podgor and Cohen). . He is currently working on a book for Oxford University Press, The Prosecution and Defense of Public Corruption: The Law and Legal Strategies , with Lee Radek, the former head of the Public Integrity Section of the U.S. Department of Justice.
