Prior to joining IU he was collections development and research services librarian and associate professor at Ohio Northern University. Before that, he was a lecturer and the reference librarian for research instruction at the Northwestern University School of Law. He has been involved in academic law libraries, legal education, and legal research since 1985. Over the years, Professor Miller has taught a variety of legal research topics and two law courses. He has a special interest in electronic research and information technology. In law school, he served as an editor of the Software Law Journal, 1989-90. He has been active in local and national law library and bar organizations. He gave two presentations on electronic legal research and web browser technology at two national conferences in Chicago and Philadelphia in July of 2000. Additionally, Miller has published several articles in various newsletters including the official newsletter of the Government Documents Special Interest Section of the American Association of Law Libraries and one notable journal on teaching legal research and writing. |
