The Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis and its Hall Center for Law and Health are launching a major initiative in biomedical and health industry compliance law. The school has the expertise to provide outstanding education to the growing group of health lawyers and professionals pursuing careers in health care compliance law.
This initiative will offer expanded courses and clinical education offerings in the compliance field and develop a certificate program in health law with a specialty in biomedical and health industry compliance law by 2012. This specialty curriculum will be established within the existing Health Law Curriculum and the existing track in the law school’s LLM for Health Law, Policy and Bioethics.
To launch this program, we are convening an Inaugural Biomedical and Health Industry Law and Compliance Conference on September 21, 2011 at the law school. The focus of the conference is law and compliance, with special emphasis on emerging compliance trends, fraud and abuse, enforcement and pharmaceutical and manufacturing issues.
