- Congratulatory champagne toast to the class of 2010
- Recognition of class reunion years
- Presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Award to Franklin E. Breckenridge ‘68
- Presentation of the Early Career Achievement Awards to Judge Charles Bridges ’05 and Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel ’00
Reverend Franklin Breckenridge, Sr., ’68, has been selected as the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. The DAA is presented annually to an alumnus of the school who has shown outstanding dedication to the IU School of Law– Indianapolis and its Alumni Association as well as dedication and service to the legal profession and their community. Reverend Breckenridge is a retired sole practitioner who lives with his wife, Cora, in Elkhart, IN. He was former counsel for Miles Laboratories and served as President of the Indiana State NAACP for 25 years. In addition, he is a life member of the IUAA and served as chair of the School’s Board of Visitors for two terms.
Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel ’00 and the Honorable Charles Bridges ‘05 have been selected as the 2010 Early Career Achievement Award recipients. The ECA honors an alumnus who has earned their degree within the last ten years, has made service and contributions to the legal profession, their community, and their alma mater, and who shows potential for continued success in their field. Jonathan Weinzapfel is Mayor of Evansville, IN. Charles Bridges presides over the Putnam County superior court.
The evening will also honor special class reunion years as well as the Class of 2010.
