Prof. Dannenmaier Speaks to International Law Students Association (ILSA) in Denver
Professor Dannenmaier will prensent a work in progress on indigenous environmental rights to the ILSA fall meeting October 11-13 in Denver, Colorado. His work explores emerging international law linking indigenous peoplesí environmental rights to their distinctive relationship with traditional lands and natural resources. He asks what implications this has for others whose history and identity is tied to land and natural resources. He also examines whether intergenerational conservation commitments may be implicit in identity based environmental rights claims.
