Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel is Senior counselor at the White House Office of Management and Budget on health policy, as well as the Chair of the Department of Bioethics at the Clinical Center of the National Institute of Health (NIH).  Dr. Emanuel served on President Clinton's Health Care Task Force, the National Bioethics Advisory Commission (NBAC), and on the bioethics panel of the Pan-American Healthcare Organization. Symposium Overview:

On Friday, February 27, 2009, the Indiana Health Law Review will host a symposium dedicated to examining current issues in health reform. The Symposium will be held at the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in the Wynne Courtroom.  The Symposium is being developed with the counsel of Eleanor DeArman Kinney, Hall Render Professor of Law and Dr. David Orentlicher, Samuel R. Rosen Professor of Law - both Co-Directors of the William S. and Christine S. Hall Center for Law and Health.

Following lunch, the event will commence with a keynote address by Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, Senior counselor at the White House Office of Management and Budget on health policy and Chief of the Department of Bioethics at the Clinical Center of the National Institute of Health.  

Dr. Emanuel’s comments will be followed by a panel discussion: TBA

Parking:
Parking will be available at the Sports Complex garage, 875 W. New York Street, 2 blocks west of Inlow Hall. There will be shuttle service from the garage to Inlow Hall from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
