Symposium Overview:
On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, the Indiana Health Law Review will host a symposium dedicated to examining current issues in health reform. The Symposium will be held at the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in the Wynne Courtroom. The Symposium is being developed with the counsel of Eleanor DeArman Kinney, Hall Render Professor of Law and Dr. David Orentlicher, Samuel R. Rosen Professor of Law - both Co-Directors of the William S. and Christine S. Hall Center for Law and Health.
Following lunch, the event will commence with a keynote address by Professor George J. Annas, Edward R. Utley Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Law, Bioethics and Human Rights, Boston University School of Public Health. The keynote address topic is: “Best in the World: Reforming (and Reframing) Health Care in America.”
Professor Annas’ comments will be followed by a panel discussion about Health Care Reform moderated by Professor Eleanor DeArman Kinney and featuring Dr. Jim Buechler, M.D., Dr. Aaron Caroll, M.D., M.S., Matt Gutwein, J.D., Eric Schmitz, B.S., and Kevin Speer, J.D.
