Privacy of Information
In accordance with federal law and the policies of Indiana University, the Office of Professional Development will not release grade point averages (GPAs) or transcripts of grades. Employers who desire this information must request it from the student, either directly or through the Office of Professional Development. A student may release this information to the Office of Professional Development with his or her resume to be forwarded to specific employers at the student's discretion.
National Association for Law Placement (NALP)
Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law is a member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), a nonprofit educational organization established in 1971 to meet the needs of the participants in the legal employment process - law schools, legal employers, law students and graduates. Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law follows NALP standards regarding the conduct of law school Office of Professional Developments.
Non-Discrimination Policy
The Office of Professional Development of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law strongly opposes discriminatory practices in hiring, in accordance with Standard 211 of the American Bar Association and bylaw 6-3 of the Association of American Law Schools. Services provided by the Office of Professional Development of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law are available only to employers who provide equal opportunities for all, regardless of sex, age, race, color, gender identity or expression, religion, national or ethnic origin, disability, or sexual orientation. Penalties for violating such regulations and policies may result in denial of access to the Office of Professional Development and Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law facilities. Complaints of discriminatory acts against prospective student employees should be reported to administrative staff of the Office of Professional Development immediately for investigation.

Military Recruiting Policy
The U.S. Department of Defense does not adhere to the non-discrimination policy. The military may discriminate against individuals who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual. Transgendered individuals are forbidden to serve in the military. Representatives of the U. S. Military are permitted to interview at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Failure to allow military recruitment may result in the removal of all federal grants and loans, imposed under federal statutes, commonly known as the Solomon Amendment.
