Are you looking for a way to strengthen your connections with the law school and your fellow classmates? We need volunteers from each class year to help increase participation rates of alumni in the annual fund, obtain up to date information on alumni, and facilitate a steady flow of alumni news and notes from your classmates to be shared with alumni and students. Volunteering your time as a Class Agent will help create a vibrant social network of IU - Law Indianapolis alumni connected to one another and the school! Read the Class Agent description.

Partners in Progress (PIP)
Become a Partner in Progress with the IU School of Law – Indianapolis. With an annual gift of $1,000 or more, you can be included in this visionary philanthropic group that has a significant impact on the school. Members of this exclusive donor society partner with the law school to support new initiatives, foster creativity in teaching and scholarship, and promote key programs.
Benefits of becoming a Partner in Progress:
- Be a part of initiatives and programs that are paving the way for the next generation of lawyers.
- Receive special invitations to select events.
- Attend the annual recognition reception for Partners in Progress and join a network of alumni and friends with similar interests.

Annual Law Firm and Corporate Campaign
Each year approximately 40 law firms and corporations participate in the Law Firm and Corporate Campaign to raise money for the law school. A Campaign Chair from each of the participating firms or corporations is recruited to help solicit donations from fellow alumni in their office. The combined efforts of our many dedicated volunteers and generous donors make this annual campaign one of our most effective and efficient fundraising efforts. Top firms both in terms of total dollars raised and percentage of participation are recognized in the Dean’s Report and in a special ad in the Indiana Lawyer. Spousal and matching gifts are included to qualify for these giving societies.
Giving societies are published annually in the Dean's Report.
What does the Annual Fund support?
Students
Gifts to the Annual Fund help to defray the high cost of tuition and other fees and assist student groups and programs with their initiatives as well as with sending representatives to national and regional conferences and competitions.
Faculty
Annual Fund contributions support faculty recruitment, retention, and professional development.
Law Library
Your gifts help to maintain one of the largest and most highly automated legal collections in Indiana. The library serves law students, faculty, members of the bar, and citizens of Indiana.
Additional Support
The Annual Fund is also essential for funding guest lecturers, career services programs, student recruitment, publications, alumni events and commencement.
Scholarships and Awards
Your gifts help students defray the high cost of tuition and other fees that currently total in excess of $10,000 per year for Indiana residents and more than twice as much for non-residents. During 2005-2006 approximately 75% of students at the school took out loans and their collective borrowing totaled more than $10 million.
