This panel focuses on bringing the theories behind and application of political communication techniques into the legal writing classroom to enhance students’ understanding of legal lines of argumentation, including audience, fact development and separation, logic sequences and organization. To that end, this presentation examines the lines of argumentation, word choice, logic, intended audience and political theories driving paid television and print political communication and discusses how these concepts intersect with legal theories of logic and argumentation.
