On Monday evening, conference attendees will have an opportunity to visit colleagues at the reception in the Indianapolis Artsgarden, situated across the street from the Hyatt. The reception will run from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and is sponsored by Thomson West. Meet friends, enjoy hor d'oeuvres and beverages, and make plans for dinner. Scholarship recipients will be honored during the reception and posters will be displayed in an art-style opening.
Tuesday evening will provide conference attendees with an opportunity to meet new LWI members and share a meal in one of the many restaurants around Indianapolis. A list of Indianapolis restaurants is available under the “Things To Do” link on the left, and if you're interested in a recommendation from one of our faculty, check the "Faculty Favorites" link.
Later in the evening, beginning at 8:00 p.m., conference attendees can attend one of several “Popcorn Sessions,” which are informal presentation/discussions held in meeting rooms at the Hyatt.
Come enjoy a relaxed evening at the Eiteljorg Native American Museum, located within five minutes of both the Hyatt and the law school. The Eiteljorg is a 73,000 square foot museum, housing a plethora of American, Western, and Indian art, including the works of Albert Bierstadt, Charles Russell, and Frederick Remington. The architecture of the building, inspired by the American Southwest, is magnificent and ruggedly beautiful. The evening will include a reception and dinner, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The museum will be ours exclusively throughout the evening, giving you plenty of time to walk through the many fantastic exhibits on display. The cost of the evening at the Eiteljorg is included in your registration fee, but you must register in advance for the event when you complete your registration form. If you do not register, your ticket will be released to another participant or guests. Additional tickets can be ordered with your conference registration for $70.00 per person. This event is sponsored by Aspen Publishers.
